Maria Rado Art studio will be open to the public on 2nd of May 2022 10-4pm. A chance to peek into a working artists' studio in the beautiful Georgian Mansion in Beckenham Place Park. Free, walk in event, entrance is on the north side of the Mansion. Address is Beckenham Place Mansion, Beckenham Place Park, Beckenham, BR31SY. Studio is located behind the café bar on the lower ground floor. On 2nd of May the well established vintage market So Last Century will be on, the Mansion Café & Bar will serve drinks and food plus wonderful street food stalls outside.

The Artists
David Wolverson
Since retiring to S.London after a long career designing wallcoverings and textiles, David has once more taken up his passion for painting. He uses the versatile medium of Acrylic paints applied to the canvas in both solid and transparent brushstrokes and marks. David has two favourite subjects for his paintings: London and its nighttime city scapes with its neon displays and river reflections. He also loves to explore and paint the wonderful woodlands and parklands of S.London which we are so lucky to have! He likes to express through the use of colour and especially layers of texture, this landscape and what lies beneath. A good example of this is his painting of the ruins of The Crystal Palace terraces disappearing into the textural mayhem of the undergrowth. His painting can also be ordered as high quality Giclee prints to order.

Maria will be showing some new large paintings exploring the subject of water and limited edition of hand finished Giclée prints from "Hortus Imaginarius" (Imaginary Garden) series. Select pieces of hand painted furniture will also be available for sale.
Delightful and fresh handmade jewellery by Boo will be on display. Boo says ‘Dress for fun, dress for you! ’ Her unique earrings are colourful and fun just like herself.
